The quilt was made in the late 1990's from reproduction fabrics, the bright ones! The quilt was inspired by an antique quilt made in the early 1800's. I think I've always gone for the bright fabrics, looking at my old stash now, they are all bright. There are a number of contemporary fabrics in the border - I think this was the first time I saw Kaffe's fabrics, there are a couple there. Since the pattern has been published, I've seen some spectacular ones done in the Kaffe Fassett Collective!
